Christchurch and Dunedin
Since i have nothing to do i shall just write about stuffs done in Christchurch/Dunedin during winter break. Well I didnt take many photos actually. haha. too lazy. will just give details about the photos i have. (Sorry ive messed up with the sequence. It should be from the bottom-most to the uppermost, but it doesnt matter actually) Im jz being lazy. This blogspot thing is not really userfrenly in dealing with photos. or maybe it's just me.
Coming to Dunedin, it's a must to have a breakfast/brunch at Capers. Not to forget, their well-known pancakes. Gigantic and nice~
Can u see the word "Capers" on it? They have it carved on the legs of the tables too. maybe the chairs too. I didnt pay too much attention but yea. The main point's food anyway :p haha
Other than her, who would be the one accompanying me to Capers early in the morning? Oh wait, it wasnt that early though. it's already 10. lol
Caper's signature pancake. We've got the Blueberry gourmet pancake. and guess what, it's only half size. im impressed by those who can finish a whole full-sized pancake.
Omelette which Gla ordered. Consists of 3 eggs! Super high in cholesterol but once in a while it's ok. haha who cares. Fluffy and moist. And also, not too salty. Just nice. yum!
Couldnt wait to devour my pancake! Gosh it's soooo nice! but till the end i got sick of it. Luckily Gladys got a savoury omelette so then we swapped. Mmm.. A very satisfying brunch as an ending in Dunedin =)
Other than eating, what else? Ice skating! The only energy-burning activity i reckon. lol. ohoh and please note. That's my Kathmandu jacket which accompanied me throughout the whole 2007. I miss it especially when it's cold. and i specially took a photo with it just for remembrance although it's really... unfashioned. haha. Yeah. i didnt fall for nearly the whole 2 hours. And i got so proud that i said: hey i didnt fall. Just then, "phew-piak" 四脚朝天! Sigh. Never say things like that out loud.
The Hunter Centre - a newly-built building for Otago uni students to hangout. Spent a few hours here, having sushi lunch. oh i should so take a pic of the sushi from Savoury Japan. cheap yet nice. We had it for two days. oh! How i miss it. maybe i should revisit Dunners just for it lol.
Was too hungry. In Dunedin, it must be the cold weather which made me sleep so much. i woke up 1130, feeling hungry yet gladys wasnt at home. Then went out to get lunch with Kevin. Both of us were super duper hungry. Velvet Burger's Velvet burger lol. Didnt know what to get and i was pretty sure this would not be a bad decision. Venison patty! and it's huge! im so sure if i wasnt that hungry i would not have finished it. Can u imagine how big it is? Oh so yum~ im drooling...
Everyday Gourmet's hot choc! What's so special? U can try different flavours of hot choc. Not only the usual Signature hot choc, dark hot choc bla bla. I wanted to get Cinnamon hot choc but to my dismay, it's finished! so instead i chose Gingernut (or Gingerbread i forgot). Was afraid it'd taste weird but no. it's soooo good! and the froth's super thick. Love it!
